FMEA serves two main purpose; as a knowledge-based management tool and as a risk management tool. It stored all knowledge you have about all the risks you could expect that would impede your organization from producing the right quality product.
FMEA make it possible to analyze products, processes and services to determine all possible modes of failure and their effects to the performance of the product, operation of the processes or service system. Failure Mode Effect Analysis is a study of risk of failure and how can we halt from delivering their unwanted effects to the customers. By analyzing all these risk, proper control can be developed to minimize the potential of failure from ever happening. FMEA is applicable to both the manufacturing and service sector.
This practical workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills to develop, review, and update Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for airport service operations. Through guided exercises and real process examples, participants will learn how to identify potential risks, prioritize them using the FMEA methodology, and propose effective preventive and corrective actions to enhance service reliability, safety, and compliance.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
Understand the purpose and structure of FMEA and its role in risk-based thinking.
Apply FMEA methodology to airport service processes to identify potential failures.
Assess severity, occurrence, and detection ratings to prioritize risks.
Develop and update FMEA documents with appropriate control measures.
Use FMEA outputs to support process improvement, safety, and compliance initiatives.
