Problem Solving and Root Cause analysis (RCA) training is designed to challenge manufacturing engineering professionals to think through common and less common problems using a structured problem-solving process in order to generate new and original solutions.
This course will provide you with the knowledge, tools and techniques to be better at solving problems effectively and efficiently.
Problems exist in every aspect of our everyday work and life. Everyone can benefit from learning the tools to systematically solve the problem and identify the root cause to prevent recurrence. Using the cross- functional team approach, you will understand and attain the skills needed to apply disciplined and proven Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies to problems impacting your organization.
Root cause analysis (RCA) involves searching backwards from an undesirable effect (or problem) to its cause(s) and addressing those causes. While the term “root cause” implies that there is a single cause for a problem, often multiple causes interact and work together to trigger the problem. The root cause analysis task is to identify potential causes, determine which cause or causes are root causes and address those root causes to ensure the effect (the problem) does not recur. RCA is important because if a problem has occurred once, it most likely will occur again.
This Training is clearly defining issues that need evaluation and how to resolve them is the basis of this program. Manufacturing organizations with staff skilled in effective problem solving and root cause analysis have the benefit of:
Providing tangible evidence of cause and effect and solutions to solve real problems
Developing solutions to problems that are effective and long lasting
Improving reliability and performance management
Identifying potential supply chain interruptions and more

Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
This training promotes a shared standardized approach and soft skill tools which would enable any organization to solve problems permanently and continuously improve performance indicators. This course, though skewed towards manufacturing, is recommended for anyone who wants to learn how to effectively solve problems.
This is a 2-days programme. This course runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch and periodic short breaks.
This is an intensive session designed to include as much discussion as possible. Lunch and breaks provide an opportunity for further questioning and discussion with the instructors.
