Service inventory is a critical success factor in automotive aftersales operations, as it directly impacts workshop efficiency, service turnaround time, and customer satisfaction. Poor parts availability often leads to job delays, repeated service visits, and reduced technician productivity, resulting in longer vehicle downtime and unmet customer expectations.
In addition, inadequate inventory management can cause warranty losses, higher operating costs, and reduced profitability due to excess, obsolete, or emergency-ordered parts. Effective service inventory planning ensures the right parts are available when needed, helping to improve service reliability, protect margins, and support sustainable aftersales performance.
This 2-day program equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and leadership mindset to manage service inventory with excellence—covering service parts flow, warranty control, inventory risks, KPI-based decision-making, and customer retention linkage.
The course emphasizes managerial ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement, moving beyond basic stock control.
At the end of this course, participants shall be able to:
Explain how service inventory supports automotive aftersales operations
Map and manage service parts and warranty inventory flows
Identify slow-moving, obsolete, excess, and high-risk service inventory
Interpret service inventory KPIs and reports
Reduce service delays caused by parts unavailability
Improve customer experience through reliable parts availability
