The use of effective coaching can unlock employee potential and improve motivation, as well as, in most cases, be far more beneficial than other forms of training and development methods.
This workshop will provide attendees with the confidence, skills, and techniques to conduct coaching effectively. As a learner in the course they will learn about the difference between coaching and mentoring, as well as other forms of people development and how to ensure that the correct coaching method for the situation is applied. Learners will learn about coaching models (e.g. GROW, Solution Focused), as well as directive and non-directive approach to coaching.
They will learn to understand the ethics and guidelines aligned with coaching. In addition, they will also learn how to apply the same techniques to run a group or team coaching session.
By the end of the program, participants will be able to:
define and apply coaching as a leadership skill
demonstrate why developing employees is important
describe the skills of coaching and how to implement them
match coaching techniques with employee performance to rectify situations and develop employees
