Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is an up to date information sheet containing relevant information pertaining to the hazardous chemicals which is vital for establishing arrangements in the safe use of the chemicals at work. A supplier shall furnish an up-to-date SDS to a chemical recipient for each hazardous chemical supplied.
Understanding content of SDS is essential to create awareness among users of hazardous chemicals of the safety recommendations and the consequences of failure to comply with these recommendations.
At the end of the course, participants will be familiar with:
Legislative requirements related to safe chemical handling to prevent workplace accidents
Chemical hazards and their associated risks
Understanding the content of SDS
Safe work practices and emergency procedures when handling chemicals
Introduction to OSHA 1994, & Regulations – CLASS 2013, USECHH 2000, NADOPOD 2004

Group Activity
This course is designed for Chemical / lab personnel, safety personnel or employees who are involved in the handling of hazardous substances in chemical plants or electronics and manufacturing industries.
This is a 1-day programme. This course runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch and periodic short breaks.
This is an intensive session designed to include as much discussion as possible. Lunch and breaks provide an opportunity for further questioning and discussion with the instructors.
