Workplace safety is essential for every organization, however to implement an effective safety and health program require effective safety and health committee.
How to set up an effective safety and health committee from the selection of employer and employee representative to implementation of OSH program is crucial.
A good understanding of role and responsibilities of respective representative will benefit to the organization from promote of safety awareness to implementation of safety and health program to prevent lost time injury.
After completion of the course, participants will be able to learn:
Occupational Safety and Health Act legislation and SHC Regulation
Understand the role and responsibilities of SHC
Understand SHC function and maintain a healthy working environment
Understand the key principles of workplace safety and health
Identify the risk at workplace, take necessary control measure to reduce/minimize the risk
Implement safety and health program to sustain a safe operation of workplace
To provide knowledge on how to handle incident and investigation to prevent recurrence

This is a 1-day programme. This course runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch and periodic short breaks.
This is an intensive session designed to include as much discussion as possible. Lunch and breaks provide an opportunity for further questioning and discussion with the instructors.
