In many organizations, the frontline operators are ill-equipped and inadequately trained to carry out their daily tasks safely and healthily. Consequently, the safety and health in the organizations is often overlooked, ignored and compromised for the sake of productivity and profitability.

The Health and Safety Essentials for Operators program is designed to equip frontline operators with the knowledge and practical skills needed to work safely, prevent accidents, and protect their well‑being on the job.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the fundamental principles of workplace health and safety.
• Understand their occupational health and safety roles and responsibilities.
• Identify and prevent potential hazards in their work area.
• Demonstrate correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools, machinery and chemicals.
• Prevent and report near-misses.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and health by practicing and promoting safety and health awareness daily.

This course is ideal for production operators, team leaders, supervisors and maintenance staff.

This is a ​1-day programme.

This course runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch and periodic short breaks.
 
This is an intensive session designed to include as much discussion as possible. Lunch and breaks provide an opportunity for further questioning and discussion with the instructors.
