This refresher training programme is designed to enhance employees’ awareness and practical understanding of workplace noise exposure and hazardous chemical handling in accordance with current Malaysian occupational safety and health requirements. The training combines essential knowledge on hearing conservation and chemical safety practices into a practical one-day programme.
Participants will be refreshed on the importance of protecting their hearing, understanding noise hazards, proper use of hearing protection devices, and compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health (Noise Exposure) Regulations 2019. The programme also reinforces safe work practices related to hazardous chemicals, including chemical identification, PPE usage, safe handling, storage, spill response, and emergency actions.
Through practical demonstrations, case discussions, and interactive activities, participants will strengthen their competency in minimizing workplace risks, preventing occupational illnesses and injuries, and promoting a safer working environment within production and laboratory operations.
At the end of the program, participants will be able to:
Understand the legal and workplace requirements related to hearing conservation and hazardous chemical handling.
Identify the effects of noise exposure and recognize methods to protect hearing at the workplace.
Apply proper selection, usage, and maintenance of hearing protection equipment and PPE.
Practice safe handling, storage, labeling, and spill response procedures for hazardous chemicals.
Respond appropriately during chemical emergencies and workplace exposure incidents.

This training is suitable for Production Department, QA/QC Laboratory, GCMS Laboratory, PAD Laboratory and R&D Laboratory
This is a 1-day programme. This course runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch and periodic short breaks.
This is an intensive session designed to include as much discussion as possible. Lunch and breaks provide an opportunity for further questioning and discussion with the instructors.
