ISO 45001:2018 is the new international standard for occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system and will replace the existing OHSAS 18001:2007 standards. ISO 45001:2018 specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, and gives guidance for its use, to enable organizations to provide safe and health workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving its OH&S performance.
The standard is intended for use by any organization, regardless of its size or the nature of its work, and can be integrated into other health and safety programmes such as worker wellness and well being.
