ISO/IEC17025:2017 requirements is a testing and/or calibration laboratories management system accreditation. Accreditation will be granted by Department of Standard Malaysia (DSM) under ‘Skim Akreditasi Makmal Malaysia’ or SAMM which the testing/calibration performed by the accredited laboratories will be internationally recognized.
The organization certified to ISO/IEC17025:2017 demonstrate their products testing or calibration is conformed to the international recognized standard or method.
This two-day course is designed to equip laboratory personnel with a solid understanding of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, which outlines general requirements for competence, impartiality, and consistent operation of testing and calibration laboratories.
Through practical discussions and examples, participants will gain insights into how ISO/IEC 17025 supports quality assurance, traceability, and continual improvement within laboratory operations.
Facilitated by an expert in management systems with hands on experience in both managing and auditing laboratory management systems (ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17021, ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17065), this course blends theoretical learning with real-world application to help participants prepare for accreditation, maintain compliance, and improve internal processes.
By the end of this training course the Learner will be able to:

Interpret key requirements related to impartiality, competence, and confidentiality in laboratory environments.
Apply the standard’s requirements for resources, equipment, and traceability to ensure valid testing and calibration results.
Recognize and implement process controls, documentation practices, and internal audit activities aligned with the standard.
Identify strategies for managing risks and driving continual improvement through effective management system practices.

This is a 1 or 2-days programme. This course runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch and periodic short breaks.
This is an intensive session designed to include as much discussion as possible. Lunch and breaks provide an opportunity for further questioning and discussion with the instructors.
