The 8D Problem Solving methodology is a structured and systematic approach widely used in managing nonconformances under ISO management systems. For ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, it helps organizations respond effectively to environmental and safety-related issues by ensuring root causes are accurately identified and corrected. The 8D process supports continuous improvement and regulatory compliance, which are central to both standards. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) within the 8D framework ensures that corrective actions go beyond surface-level fixes. By analyzing incidents such as environmental spills, safety near-misses, or non-compliance findings, teams can prevent recurrence and strengthen risk controls. This is especially critical for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, where legal and safety implications require clear accountability and effective mitigation strategies.
Empower the participants to:
Apply the 8D methodology for structured problem-solving
Conduct thorough root cause analyses of EHS nonconformances
Align corrective actions with ISO requirements and drive continual improvement
