In today’s globalized business environment, corruption remains one of the most pervasive threats to economic growth, corporate integrity, and societal well-being. It distorts fair competition, weakens institutions, and erodes public trust. As organizations strive to navigate these complex challenges, the importance of robust anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) measures has never been more critical. Businesses must now go beyond mere compliance—they must adopt a proactive stance, embedding anti-corruption practices into the very fabric of their operations.
In Malaysia, the fight against corruption is at the forefront of national discourse. With sweeping reforms and the introduction of stringent legal frameworks such as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009 and Section 17A Corporate Liability, businesses face heightened scrutiny.
