This course is a basic introduction to the world of Business Continuity (BC). It is designed as a first step for newcomers to the subject of BC and for those for whom BC may be a part of their role or responsibilities who need to have a good understanding of the subject. It provides the beginner with the basic knowledge and understanding of the building blocks required for developing or maintaining a robust Business Continuity Management Program and gives those individuals with a BC related role or responsibility a comprehensive overview of the discipline. This course covers the elements of the BCM Lifecycle, based on global good practice and the international standard for Business Continuity ISO 22301.
On completion of this two days course, the participants will be able to:
Gain appreciation of the criticality of BCM, and its key drivers
Understand the critical steps involved in creating a Business Continuity Plan, such as Risk Analysis, Business Impact Analysis, Recovery Strategy and Plan Development
Effectively manage crisis communications with external and internal entities, and the public
Familiarize and prepare staff to react quickly and decisively

This is a 2-days programme. This course runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch and periodic short breaks.
