During the establishment of an Environmental Management Systems (EMS) or any environmental program, the organisation needs to determine how its activities and functions may impact on the community and the ecosystem. By identifying and evaluating such harmful and pollutive activities, the organisation is able to develop applicable mitigation measures.
This course outlines the principles, processes and techniques used for the assessment and management of environmental aspects and the significance of these in environmental management systems.
By the end of this training course the Learner will be able to:
Describe the key requirements of the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and its related environmental regulations applicable to their workplace.
Identify the legal requirements governing air emissions, industrial effluent, sewage discharge, scheduled wastes, noise control, and fire safety.
Recognize environmental compliance obligations and the consequences of non-compliance with environmental legislation.
Apply basic environmental regulatory requirements in managing workplace activities, pollution prevention, and waste management practices.
Support their organization's environmental compliance efforts by monitoring, reporting, and responding appropriately to environmental issues and incidents.

Anyone who is responsible for the care taking of the Environmental Law for the company.
This is a 1-day programme. This course runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch and periodic short breaks.
This is an intensive session designed to include as much discussion as possible. Lunch and breaks provide an opportunity for further questioning and discussion with the instructors.
