Pollution is now a common place term, that our ears are attuned to. We hear about the various forms of pollution and read about it through the mass media.
Air pollution is one such form that refers to the contamination of the air, irrespective of indoors or outside. A physical, biological or chemical alteration to the air in the atmosphere can be termed as pollution. It occurs when any harmful gases, dust, smoke enters into the atmosphere and makes it difficult for plants, animals and humans to survive as the air becomes dirty; the imbalance caused by the increase or decrease of the percentage of these gases can be harmful for survival.
Water pollution happens when chemicals or dangerous foreign substances are introduced to water, including chemicals, sewage, pesticides and fertilizers from agricultural runoff, or metals like lead or mercury. The most common contaminants are bacteria, mercury, phosphorus and nitrogen. These come from the most common sources of contaminates, that include agricultural runoff, air deposition, water diversions and channelization of streams. How does all the air and water pollution can be happened in our daily activities and what’s the effect to earth and human health? What we can do to prevent the pollution?

This course is designed for those who need to have a working knowledge of the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard, air and water pollution control techniques such as but not limited to:

This is a 1-day programme. This course runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch and periodic short breaks.
This is an intensive session designed to include as much discussion as possible. Lunch and breaks provide an opportunity for further questioning and discussion with the instructors.
