GMP+ is an internationally recognised feed safety assurance scheme designed to ensure the safety and quality of animal feed throughout the entire supply chain. It covers organisations involved in feed manufacturing, storage, transportation, trading, and feed ingredients. Understanding the requirements of GMP+ helps organisations establish effective controls to prevent contamination, ensure traceability, and comply with regulatory and customer expectations.
This programme provides participants with a clear understanding of the key requirements of the latest GMP+ standards, including management responsibilities, risk assessment, operational controls, supplier management, documentation, and traceability systems. Participants will also be introduced to the recent updates in the new version, enabling them to identify the necessary actions for implementation and audit readiness within their organisation.
By attending this training, participants will gain practical knowledge on how GMP+ requirements apply to daily operations and how to strengthen their existing feed safety management system. The programme is suitable for quality assurance personnel, production teams, warehouse and logistics staff, as well as management representatives involved in maintaining GMP+ compliance and preparing for certification audits.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to understand:
Identify and interpret the key requirements of GMP+ and their application within the feed supply chain.
Understand the fundamentals and principles of GMP+, including feed hygiene practices, code of practice, and the purpose of implementing the GMP+ system.
Explain the scope, structure, and implementation requirements of GMP+ within daily operational processes.
Provide an overview of the latest GMP+ requirements and updates, including their impact on compliance and audit readiness
Differentiate the requirements between GMP (MS 1514:2022) and GMP+, with clear understanding of their respective applications in food and feed industries.
Describe the principles, processes, and techniques used in feed safety risk assessment and management under the GMP+ framework.
Explain the purpose, content, and interrelationship of GMP+ system standards, industry best practices, standard operating procedures, and relevant legislative requirements related to feed safety and HACCP principles.
