In line with the revision of ISO9001:2015, IATF has announced the publication of quality management system requirement for automotive industry as IATF 16949:2016. To align with the high-level structure of Annex SL, total 10 clauses of the requirement by adopting the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA Cycle) concept.
IATF 16949:2016 emphasis on the framework of process approach with risk based thinking and consideration for customer specific requirements. This Automotive QMS Standard defines the quality management system requirements for the design and development, production and, when relevant, assembly, installation, and services of automotive-related products, including products with embedded software. It’s applicable to sites of the organization where manufacturing of customer-specified production parts, service parts, and/or accessory parts occur and throughout the automotive supply chain.
The goal of this Automotive QMS standard is the development of a quality management system that provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain.
With the right approach of interpretation and application of IATF16949, this training course will be presented with detailed explanation of the requirements for ease of understanding and practical activities to document and apply the system.
This training enhances:
Interpretation of the Automotive new requirements
Understand the right concept of IATF 6949 requirements
Action needed to establish, make necessary changes and implement to achieve successful certification.
Background and evolution of automotive quality system
Note: This training does not interpret the original requirements of ISO 9001:2015. Delegates who intend to attend this course are encouraged to understand ISO9001 training module in advance.
This course is suitable for those who are tasked with the development, implementation and maintenance of the automotive quality management system to comply with the new requirements.
This may include Directors/ Managers, Department Head, Engineers and Human Resources/ Personal Affairs Officers.
This is a 2-days programme. This course runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch and periodic short breaks.
This is an intensive session designed to include as much discussion as possible. Lunch and breaks provide an opportunity for further questioning and discussion with the instructors.
