Policymakers often regard performance gap as business problems, inefficiency in the current internal business process and/or source for identifying individual’s competency requirements. It is vital for an organization to then identify the root cause(s) of problems and to solve them systematically.
The effectiveness and ability to analyse proposed solutions and to make sound decision before the actual execution of any intervention selections is regarded as another key competence one must possess. Brainstorming, aside from some technical tools, is of great help during this crucial process.

By the end of the workshop, the learners will be able to:
- Identify different types of problems and levels of complexity involved
- Diagnose barriers that impede real problem identification
- Facilitate small group brainstorming sessions to generate ideas
- Apply appropriate techniques and tools in evaluating alternatives
- Anticipate potential problems or at times opportunities which may arise during, or as result of, the implementation of any proposed solutions
- Make effective decision, from the formulation stage through to the achievement of desired outcomes

This is a 1-day programme.
This course runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch and periodic short breaks.
