Strategists often regard performance gap as business problems, inefficiency in the current internal business process and/or source for identifying individual’s competency requirements. It is vital for an organization to then identify the root cause(s) of problems and to solve them systematically.
Critical thinking helps you examine and improve thought processes, ask the right questions, challenge assumptions and consider varying viewpoints. Further to this, the learners would appreciate how critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making work optimally together, and will provide hands-on practice with tools that they can apply to their everyday workday tasks, big or small.
At the end of this 2-day course, the learners will be able to:
Diagnose barriers that impede real problem identification
Define critical thinking and identify your critical thinking styles
Work through the critical thinking process to build, analyze and evaluate varying viewpoints
Improve key critical thinking skills, including active listening and questioning
Apply appropriate techniques and tools in evaluating alternatives
Make effective decisions, from the formulation stage through to the achievement of desired outcomes
Anticipate potential problems or at times opportunities which may arise during, or as result of, the implementation of any proposed solutions
