The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) establishes and manages global sustainable standards, and is regarded as one of the world most recognised standard. The GSTC Criteria serve as the global baseline standards for sustainability in travel and tourism. They are the result of a worldwide effort to develop a common language about sustainability in tourism. They are arranged in four pillars:
Sustainable management
Socioeconomic impacts
Cultural impacts
Environmental impacts (including consumption of resources, reducing pollution, and conserving biodiversity and landscapes).
To promote sustainable tourism knowledge and practices, adoption of universal sustainable tourism principles; and building demand for sustainable travel based on GSTC’s criteria for industry.

This is 0.5-day programme. This course runs from 9:00am – 12:30pm with a periodic short break.
