Industrial Relations encompass the management of relationships between employers, employees, and their representatives to foster a harmonious workplace. This involves promoting open communication, resolving disputes through negotiation, and ensuring fair treatment to maintain productivity and employee satisfaction.
Handling misconduct is integral to upholding organizational standards and includes impartial investigation, gathering evidence, and applying disciplinary actions like warnings or termination based on the severity of infractions. A domestic inquiry formalizes the investigation of serious misconduct, ensuring procedural fairness by appointing an inquiry panel, presenting charges, gathering evidence, and allowing the accused to defend themselves.
