Freedom of Association in Malaysia gives employees the right to form, join, and participate in trade unions without interference from employers. This right is protected under Malaysian labour laws, ensuring that employees can collectively represent their interests at the workplace.
Collective Bargaining refers to the process where a recognized trade union negotiates with an employer to agree on terms and conditions of employment. These negotiations are governed mainly under the Industrial Relations framework and typically cover wages, benefits, working hours, and other employment conditions.
Together, these principles support fair and balanced employer-employee relations by promoting dialogue, reducing disputes, and ensuring compliance with Malaysian labour standards while maintaining industrial harmony
