MTS-101 Understanding the Requirements of IATF 16949:2016 Automotive
Quality Management System
In line with the revision of ISO9001:2015, IATF has announced the publication of quality management system requirement for automotive industry as IATF 16949:2016. To align with the high-level structure of Annex SL, total 10 clauses of the requirement by adopting the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA Cycle) concept.
IATF 16949:2016 emphasis on the framework of process approach with risk based thinking and consideration for customer specific requirements. This Automotive QMS Standard defines the quality management system requirements for the design and development, production and, when relevant, assembly, installation, and services of automotive-related products, including products with embedded software. It’s applicable to sites of the organization where manufacturing of customer-specified production parts, service parts, and/or accessory parts occur and throughout the automotive supply chain.
The primary goal of this one-day course is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the requirements outlined in the IATF 16949:2016 standard for Automotive Quality Management Systems (QMS). By delving into the background and evolution of automotive quality systems, exploring the process approach and risk-based thinking, and thoroughly examining the QMS requirements, attendees will gain the knowledge necessary to effectively implement and maintain a robust automotive QMS.

This course runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch and periodic short breaks.
