A truly Lean operation is one without ‘waste’. Taking a concept from Toyota Production System (TPS), Lean aimed at continuously driving the waste out of our working and process area. But how do we identify the production area of greatest opportunity? How can we effectively put our resources in our improvement activities? Are we seeing ‘island’ of improvement or do our organization see the ‘big picture’?
Those are the questions answered by VSM. It helps us to recognize any activity within our process or organization that does not add value visually and for others to view and grasp. Prioritize our improvement team and set the organization on the same thinking process. This same approach can be applied to business processes in both manufacturing and service environment. Our program will help you identify the need to create a policy and team that focused on continuous improvement, build the skills to identify wastes in your organization, remove it and do it all over again.
The overall objective of this course is to help you effectively guide and support teams engaged in a process improvement project intended to help your organization perform better. After completing this course, you should be able to:
Participants can understand the current process scenario in their production/processing line
Participants will be able to identify value-added and non-value-added activity within their process flow, process imbalance and inconsistencies
