Working at Height refers to any task performed at an elevation where a person could fall and sustain an injury. It encompasses activities conducted on ladders, scaffolds, rooftops, elevated work platforms, or even at ground level near openings or edges. Working at height poses significant risks, including falls, slips, or object-related injuries, making it one of the leading causes of workplace accidents globally. Proper planning, adherence to safety legislation, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are crucial in mitigating these risks. Training and awareness are essential for identifying hazards, implementing effective control measures, and ensuring safe practices to protect workers and maintain a secure working environment.
The Level 2 Working at Height Training is designed for participants who have completed Level 1 training and seek advanced skills and practical expertise. The program focuses on thorough equipment inspection, advanced use of fall protection systems, safe practices, and practical applications of working at height techniques. It prepares participants to handle complex scenarios and reinforces a culture of safety at elevated workspaces.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Master advanced techniques for inspecting and using equipment and PPE for working at height.
Develop skills for safely ascending and descending using step ladders while maintaining 3-point contact.
Understand and implement proper tie-off procedures and single/double lanyard applications.
Practice safe working techniques in a controlled environment to build confidence and competence.
